Chateau Edmus, labelled « Producteur Artisan de qualité »
Co-chaired by Alain Ducasse and Joël Robuchon ( RIP ), the College Culinaire de France was founded in 2011 at the initiative of 15 prestigious French chefs. The College’s mission is to promote the identity, diversity, tradition but also innovation and dynamism of French gastronomy and to foster such values as solidarity, sharing and openness.
The college decided to create two labels, the Restaurants de Qualité and the Producteurs – Artisans de Qualité. The labels are awarded by co-optation to the professionals who identify themselves with the values of the College and commit to promote them.
In November 2016, the College extended the Producteur -Artisan de Qualité label to winegrowers sharing its values and contributing to the dynamism of French gastronomy and its development worldwide. The Selection Committee has thus approved a first list of around 50 estates, among them Château Edmus, which greatly pleases us. This acknowledgement, which we proudly display, is a strong inducement for us to continue our efforts to produce an elegant wine, representative of our terroir and our appellation, and mindful of its environment.
